Pessac Leognan, cru classe, 2015
The color is a medium deep, darkly pigmented ruby red, losing a little color to the rim. The fruit aromas are restrained but rich. The palate has chocolate/cocoa fruit, licorice richness & perhaps a touch of meatiness. There is plentiful new oak influence, giving mocha notes & fine structure overlaying the rich and ripe fruit. The wine finishes with dark cherry & dark olive fruit with cocoa powder texture.
